A gathering of leaders, alumni, and changemakers coming together to raise funds for the LeMoyne-Owen College Golf Program through SGA's Fairway Fund. NBA Legend and Memphis Men's Basketball Head Coach Penny Hardaway will be a special guest. Head Coach Dominique Worthen and the LeMoyne-Owen Magpies will be on the grounds.

The Bluff City HBCU Classic is played as a 4-person scramble using gross scoring. The team with the lowest gross score at the end of 18 holes wins. No handicap required — open field, all skill levels welcome.
How a Scramble Works
Each player tees off on every hole. The team selects the best shot and all players play from that spot. This continues until the ball is holed. Every player contributes to their team's best score throughout the round.
On-Course Competitions
Individual competitions open to all players regardless of skill level:
Tiebreaker
Ties are broken by comparing the tied teams' scorecards over smaller and smaller sets of holes. The first comparison is the back nine, holes 10 through 18, and the team with the lower score wins the tie. If the teams are still even, the comparison narrows to the last six holes (13 through 18), then the last three (16 through 18), and then the 18th hole alone. If the tie still stands, the committee works backward one hole at a time, starting with the 17th, until one team comes out ahead.

USGA rules of golf apply throughout. All participants are expected to adhere to TPC Southwind standards.

Player Substitutions
Player substitutions within your registered foursome are welcome at any time at no additional charge. Contact hello@socialassociation.org to update your roster.
Rain or Shine. The Bluff City HBCU Classic is a rain or shine event. All registrations are final and non-refundable unless the event is cancelled by the Social Golf Association due to circumstances beyond our control. In that case, registrants will receive a full refund or credit toward a future SGA event.
By registering, each participant acknowledges and agrees to the following:
Assumption of Risk. Participant acknowledges that golf and related activities involve inherent risks of injury and voluntarily assumes all such risks.
Release of Claims. Participant releases, waives, and discharges the Social Golf Association, The Manego Group LLC, TPC Southwind, PGA TOUR, and their respective officers, employees, and agents from any and all claims arising out of participation in this event, including claims of negligence, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Medical Authorization. Participant consents to emergency medical treatment as deemed necessary and agrees to bear all associated costs.
Photo & Media Release. Participant grants SGA the irrevocable right to use event photos and video for promotional purposes without compensation.
Rules & Conduct. Participant agrees to comply with all TPC Southwind and SGA tournament rules. SGA reserves the right to remove any participant for conduct deemed inappropriate or disruptive.
